Poem, Falling Asleep To Falling Ice
January 10, 2009
Hey Guys! Heres my next poem, Falling Asleep To Falling Ice
I await sleep
in the middle of winter
hearing ice
and snow
fall off my roof…
I make a comparison in my head,
‘How is the falling ice like
how americans are during the holidays?’
I think to myself.
The thins i came up with for that comparison were, like how americans are
during the holidays,
it’s a huge kaboom!
like when that falling ice
falls to the ground,
another common thing between these two thoughts,
is that the big box stores, outlet malls, and the things like that
are so packed, like that ice, which was once snow itself, compacted
until it froze,
I like to think of this like a timeline,
so, it starts out as snow,
like the normal person out in one of the
big box stores, or outlet malls,
but then in December,
it gets so compacted and packed
elbow to elbow, bumper to bumper
like the ice,
then after the holidays,
it turn into snow again just as it
was before
How’d you like it? Please comment on any of my many posts i have put up on this website, more of THE SEEN, YET UNSEEN and The Dragon Rider are coming very, very soon.
soon, every day there is going to be a new poll to take on this blog, kinda like my uncles Question of the day.
